Sophomore and Junior Students: The T & I Program at the School of Career and Technical Education offers enhanced opportunities for Castle students to receive classroom and hands-on training in 19 diverse areas of study using the latest emerging technologies and equipment. Sophomores can apply for this program this year to attend for half days during their Junior and Senior years. Juniors can apply this year to participate their senior year. The T & I Program is a seminar and tour, see Mr. Rogers in the Guidance Office.

Teen Power students, campers, and friends:  Service points will be awarded to the first  25 strong women and men who appear Friday in the cafeteria after school to move and set up tables and chairs for the Newburgh Women's Club Craft Show. You will be needed possibly till 5pm if only a few workers are there. The more volunteers, the earlier you will be able to finish and leave.  This service project allows you to receive needed service points for the semester and gains a donation to help pay the $1,000 for one team at Teen Power Leadership Camp June 1-4. Remember to sign up in 209 if you are thinking of attending.

Knights Car Decals: The Castle Knights PTO is selling car decals! By purchasing a car decal, you will support the PTO and our students while displaying your school spirit. Decals can be bought to recognize graduation years! ('10, '11, '12, and '13 available) Decals can be purchased for $5.00/each at Freshmen Orientation, Parent Night, most CHS-hosted sporting events, or by contacting Susan Schultheis - Decal Fundraiser Chairperson - at (812) 853-0560.

Tutoring:  St. Luke Lutheran Church is offering free tutoring in all subject areas on Thursday evenings from 6-7:30.  The church is directly across from Deaconess Gateway Hospital on Epworth Rd.  No appointment is required.  If you’d like more information, the phone number is 858-5683.

The Search for Miss Teen Indiana:  Applications are now being accepted for the title of Miss Teen Indiana International 2010.  The pageant will be held in Chicago, IL on July 19 through July 24.  Young women between the ages of 13 and 18 are eligible and should call Mary Richardson at 540-989-5992 or email director@missteeninternational.us for more information.

Youth First: Youth First Inc. will be sponsoring the Most of Us campaign in Warrick County this spring. The focus will be on positive social norms and trying to correct the misperceptions. The initial phase will begin with small posters that can be displayed in your classrooms. These posters state Most of Us Make the Most of High School! I will be placing these posters in your mailboxes and would appreciate if you would display them in your rooms.
